Industries
and sectors include (but are not limited to): medicines, medical products,
consumer electronics, food, clothing, apparel, jewelry, chemical products, sport
weapons, and sensitive industrial products. Ideally, at least one of the
partners should be a big industrial organisation with massive warehouses and
important distribution operations.
Required skills and Expertise:
In
particular, we are looking for one or two industrial partners (end-users)
with significant security requirements in their transport and distribution
chain and willing to provide the project with facilities to trial our secure
and inexpensive RFID security tags (three trials per partner). Target
industries include drugs, food, medical devices, chemical products, clothing (anti-counterfeiting),
jewelry and consumer electronics. Other industries and sectors where security is
crucial will be considered, but non end-users please do not apply. The
requested grant contribution of each of these partners should not exceed €300k
(€100k per trial per partner).
The focus should be on security (anti-counterfeiting, prevention of terrorism
and smuggling, etc). Expertise includes warehouse and transport management,
logistics, and security applications. Experience working with RFID will be a
plus.
